Biographical Information-
Alan Ross
Alan Ross was born to Maurice and Frances Begnoche* and grew up in the rural town of Jericho, Vermont; just a short drive to the Canadian border.  As the youngest of three sons, Daniel (as his parents named him) spent much of his youth trying to establish his own unique style, much to the dismay of his horrified parents.  Always active and independent, his creativity expressed itself at an early age and at five years old, he proudly and confidently announced to his mildly amused folks that he was going to be a star.  Ten years later, less than two weeks after his fifteenth birthday, he took his first step to stardom.

Working with a fellow high school student, Alan began performing as a mobile disc jockey under the moniker of "Danny B."  As the head disc jockey for Supersounds, they became known as the most entertaining DJ service in Vermont.  After six years with Supersounds, in 1985, "Danny B." established Sound Audisee, his own full service, musical entertainment company.

From 1985 through 1990, Alan worked Sound Audisee part time while he tried to settle into a normal family life.  His marriage to his first wife produced his son Steven and daughter Chrystalyn.  By 1990, after this marriage ended in divorce, Alan was looking to return to the music industry in another capacity other than doing more DJ work.

Alan fronted a few different bands over the years and always found the same problem, no one else had his commitment to the craft.  Unable to find like-minded musicians to create a quality professional band, Alan found solace in pre-recorded background music; Karaoke.

As a vocalist, it was a dream come true: no band members giving lame excuses for not showing up on time, no prior commitments, no scheduling confusion, when he needed to sing a song, the musical and vocal accompaniment was always perfect every time.

On June 4, 1992, Alan had his first date with Dorothy Carroll and on August 1st, 1992, less than two months later, they were married in Colchester, Vermont.  They remained in Vermont for two years before moving to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

In March 1996, Alan went to work for Doe's new company, Endeavors II, Inc.  Over the next few years Alan worked on developing his own unique style of performance.  Using his natural charm and charisma, he easily draws the audience into his world.  He puts people at ease by making personal contact with them.  Mingling with audience members throughout his show, he effortlessly makes people feel welcomed, appreciated and important.  His love and respect for them becomes quickly reciprocated.

Over the next few months, Alan's popularity grew to the point where the demand was higher than the ability to cover all the requests for his shows.  Expansion began by bringing on our first additional show host, Dave Fitton.  It soon became necessary to buy more equipment, hire new hosts and increase our inventory of music.  Since then, many people have joined the Alan Ross Karaoke family.  Some work out and others don't, but Alan says, "I will only bring on new people that I feel can provide the quality entertainment people have come to expect when they see the Alan Ross Karaoke Roadshow brand name.  I remind the hosts that it's all about the audience.  Without them, we have no show and we want to help them discover and develop their talents."

Each new recruit has been hand trained by Alan to continue performing in the style that made the Alan Ross Karaoke Roadshow reportedly "America's #1 Karaoke Show"

By 2016, Alan had grown weary of the constant management and training of new show hosts and dealing with their nonsense.  Personalities and primadonna attitudes began to wear on him and soon began to effect his health.  Alan was diagnosed with high blood pressure and other stress related ailments, so he and Doe dissovled their Karaoke corporation, turned over the remaining inventory and management responsibilities to their NC managing partner, Dave Fitton, and moved to Florida.

In Florida, Alan began to pursue his solo singing career.  Alan hit the ground running and within days had booked himself into several local area restaurants to perform in The Villages in Central Florida.

After only a few short months, Alan had been around to every Karaoke show in The Villages and found them all wanting.  No one was providing the high quality service Alan knew the residents were dying for.  He knew he had to start offering his Karaoke service again so he began hosting shows at a couple of different restaurants and within a couple of weeks, his shows were the buzz throughout The Villages.

Since then, Alan has maintained a fully packed schedule of solo shows and Karaoke shows and plays at several local area hot spots.  He no longer hires nor has to deal with other Karaoke hosts and enjoys the more mature audiences found in Central Florida.  His partner, Dave Fitton, continues to manage the NC chapter of the Alan Ross Karaoke Roadshow and former NC show host, James Lucas, runs occasional shows for us in Nebraska.
