We here at Alan Ross Productions are very proud of the fine work done by our professional staff. Each person has made a commitment to the quality we strive for at each show and especially our Karaoke division headed up by Alan Ross. Over the years we’ve received countless compliments and praise from people who’ve seen and enjoyed his work. When Alan first appeared on the Outer Banks in 1996, he electrified audiences and brought Karaoke to a different level. Within a year, he had developed such a great reputation that he couldn’t fill the demand alone. Dave Fitton, who years earlier had introduced Karaoke to the Outer Banks, had seen Alan’s shows and knew that he was looking at the future. We brought Dave on board and began the retraining process. Dave broke through the training he had received when Karaoke was in its infancy here in the U.S. and learned to approach the shows in the Alan Ross style. Dave once commented, “I may have started Karaoke here, but Alan has set the standard.” Hard work and great shows continued to increase the popularity of The Alan Ross Karaoke Roadshow and soon it was time to expand again. BJ Wiseman had been to some of the shows and Alan saw in him the spark he’d always looked for. BJ had no experience in the world of professional live entertainment, but he had a natural “likeability” and a versatile singing voice. With Alan, Dave and BJ all working five to six shows a week, the exposure of the Roadshow grew and in early 2001, it was time to expand yet again. Each new show host we've hired has brought a new dimension to their shows. Their individual personalities come through even though they all maintain the Alan Ross style of show. We like to think that each show host appeals to a different specific audience, while entertaining everyone. BJ has since moved on, and others have come and gone, but more
than twenty
years later, our new compliment of hosts still includes Alan Ross and
Dave Fitton. Alan has relocated to Central Florida and has become
a solo performer primarily in The Villages. As a vocalist, Alan
has been receiving great praise for his vocal versatility and the
manner in which he runs his shows. He has developed a following
of people who come to listen to him sing for hours at a time! Dave Fitton continues to manage the North Carolina operations of the Alan Ross Karaoke Roadshow. Both Alan and Dave continue to train and cultivate new Karaoke show host talent. Please check out our Show Hosts page for more information about our diverse roster of talent. When I began this project almost twenty-five years ago, I knew we had a great product, but its popularity has surprized even me. The Alan Ross Karaoke Roadshow was so named simply to distinguish our shows from regular Karaoke. The name is often shortened to "Alan Ross Karaoke" but it has grown into a brand name that people can count on for a quality show. All of our hosts work hard to present the shows in the same manner that Alan does while still maintaining their unique personalities. It’s our goal that when you see an ad for Alan Ross Karaoke, you’ll know that whichever host is running that show, you'll agree that it's the best Karaoke on the East Coast. <>- Dorothy BegnochePresident Alan Ross Productions > |
